ES Image Capture Engine (Version 1.0.3)
	The ES Image Capture Engine allows one to capture images from a WIA scanner, webcam/video capture device, or digital camera. Existing images can also be imported from a local or network drive. The goal of the engine is to allow users to easily perform functions, batching, conversion, processing, and saving of images from either a capture device or a disk drive. The engine utilizes the core of the ES Image Printer Driver to allow automatic emailing, uploading via FTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, a database, etc. In fact, any feature available in the core of the ES Image Printer Driver can be used with the ES Image Capture Engine. This means the images can be converted to PNG, BMP, JPEG, TIFF, Multi-Page TIFF, PNM, JPEG 2000, GIF, Animated GIF, and PDF files. The files can even be automatically batched into a single compressed ZIP file. Detailed Feature List The driver is driven by XML files that can be administered and changed for use in business environments or for mass printing and/or control. They can even be configured to download XML from a remote server. There is also a graphical user interface (preferred) for configuring the engine. The picture below demonstrates the GUI. Capturing snap shots from a video camera and uploading the images as JPEGs to a website for a live web cam. PLATFORM SPECIFICATIONS Supported Operating Systems: Windows XP, 2003, and Vista. ES Image Capture Engine requires Java and .NET 2.0 to be used. Any compatible JRE (Java Runtime Environment) of version 1.4 or greater may be used, but the installer defaults to installing the 6.0 JRE.
